About the mda

The Solar Eclipse of August 2017 left some Madras business owners with a question: What would it take to recreate that kind of fun, excitement, and economic boost for businesses on an annual basis?

After lots of dreaming and excited discussion, they had their answer.

While they couldn’t arrange for an astronomical event of that magnitude, they could create a summer series of family-friendly events that would showcase the talents of local artists and performers and highlight local businesses.

We’re offering opportunities for food trucks, retail vendors, and street performers to be a part of these events and are asking our community to be supportive by attending and bringing their friends. Participating businesses will be offering specials and discounts at their establishments during the events.
